By travelling with McComb’s you’re travelling with the same company as the cast and crew of Game of Thrones! We have worked on all 4 seasons of Game of Thrones, providing transport to and from all filming locations.
Choose from joining other Game of Thrones fans on our coach tour (every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 5th April 2014), or, enjoy some added luxury at a slightly slower pace on a Private Tour. Each shares a similar itinerary, so the choice is yours!
Transport yourself on-board our coach to the “Kings Road” and join us for a day visiting the main filming locations featured in this phenomenal series.
Our Coach Tour will be limited to 30 passengers per day – allowing us to use a smaller coach to visit these intimate locations. Because of this we strongly recommend booking early to guarantee your seat!
Check-in at 8.40am our office which is in Belfast International Youth Hostel, and 9.00am at the corner of Glengall Street – Grand Opera House Stage Door. Selected city centre hotels pick-ups are available, please enquire when booking.
We travel along a large portion of the Causeway Coastal Route to the small coastal town of Ballycastle – Game of Thrones fans will know this is the native home of Lady Catelyn Stark and Varys!
Our first stop of the day is Cushendun, where we visit the Cave which featured Melisandre giving birth to the shadow baby!
Our next stop and real wow location is The Kings Road, locally known as The Dark Hedges.
Ballintoy/Pyke Harbour is the next port of call, where there have been so many scenes filmed, there has even been a plaque erected!
We’re ready for lunch by now, and we’ll stop at cosy Fullerton Arms in Ballintoy. This stop is very popular amongst Game of Thrones fans, as it has been known to host some of the cast on cold and windy days! You might even hear a story or two from the staff who have also bumped into some of the series’ biggest stars!
We then move on to Larrybane, where several major scenes were filmed, and it’s at Larrybane where Renly swears to Lady Stark that he will avenge Ned’s death, but meets his end at the hands of the shadow baby conjured up in those caves you visited in Cushendun.
Our last stop of the day is at Giant’s Causeway, which, although it doesn’t directly feature in the series, you can’t visit this area without squeezing in a stop here!
Seats on our coach tours are limited, so click on the “Book Now” button to the right to reserve your seat. For private tours, please complete our Online Enquiry Form, and a member of staff will be in touch to confirm prices and availability.
